Brake Pads
Brake pads are a component of disc brakes used in automotive and other applications. Brake pads are composed of steel backing plates with friction material bound to the surface that faces the disc brake rotors.
Brake Rotors
Brake rotors, also known as brake discs, are a crucial component of a vehicle’s braking system. They are typically made of cast iron and are attached to the wheel hub of each wheel. When the brake pedal is pressed, the brake pads are pressed against the rotors, causing friction that slows down or stops the vehicle. There are four types of brake rotors: Blank & Smooth, Drilled, Slotted, and Drilled & Slotted, each designed for specific driving conditions and vehicle types.
Drum Brakes
A drum brake is a brake that uses friction caused by a set of shoes or pads that press outward against a rotating bowl-shaped part called a brake drum. The term drum brake usually means a brake in which shoes press on the inner surface of the drum.
